Find My Phone Launcher
Lost it under a cushion again? Clap, and it calls back.
What it does
Find My Phone Launcher listens for a clap or a whistle and, when it hears one, makes your phone ring with a loud “Here I am!” alarm, flash and vibration so you can find it around the house, even when it is on silent.
Detection runs as a clearly visible background service with its own notification, so you always know when it is on. Because it is your launcher, it stays ready without you having to remember to open an app.
Features
- Clap and whistle detection
- Loud alarm with flash and vibration when your phone hears you
- Works even when the phone is on silent
- Always-visible notification while detection is on
- Home screen with web search bar
Frequently asked questions
How do I set Find My Phone Launcher as my launcher?
On most Android phones: open Settings > Apps > Default apps > Home app and pick the app. On Samsung Galaxy phones the path is Settings > Apps > Choose default apps > Home app. Menu names can vary a little by manufacturer and Android version. The app also walks you through this the first time you open it.
How do I go back to my previous home screen?
Open the app menu and tap Disable (or use Change Default Launcher in the Help section), then choose your previous home app, for example One UI Home on Samsung or Pixel Launcher on Pixel phones. You can also go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Home app at any time. Nothing is deleted: your apps, photos and settings stay exactly where they were.
Will I lose my apps or data?
No. A launcher only changes your home screen and app drawer. All of your apps, accounts, photos and settings stay the same, and you can switch back whenever you want.
What permissions does the app use?
- Microphone: listens for claps and whistles on the device. Audio is not recorded or uploaded.
- Notifications: shows that detection is on and lets you stop the alarm.
- Location (optional): only if you turn on locating your phone from the web.
- Home app role: keeps detection ready as your launcher. You can switch back at any time.
You can review or revoke permissions at any time in Settings > Apps > Find My Phone Launcher > Permissions.
